Cheese sticks wrapped make a fantastic snack or appetizer !
- 6 pieces string cheese
- 12 strips partially-cooked bacon
Cut string cheese in half along the length.
Wrap one bacon slice over each piece of cheese.
Freeze for at least one hour.
Heat oil in small frying pan to at least half inch high. Temperature of oil should be about 350°F or slightly less to prevent melting the cheese.
Cook each bacon wrapped piece of mozzarella in the hot oil until crispy. Place on paper towel to absorb excess grease if desired. Serve warm.
- Store any leftovers in refrigerator and microwave on high for about 10-15 seconds to reheat
